ABOUT ME

I'm an energetic social scientist and communicator with a natural capacity for leadership, research, and project management. This is because I'm extremely organized - the most common thing people say when they collaborate with me is "omg you are so organized!" I'm also extroverted and a quick learner.

I've recently completed my Masters of Science in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford and have started working at the Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern University as the Program Coordinator of the Masters of Science in Energy and Sustainability Program.

I'm hoping to utilize my ability to translate complex concepts into language that each audience can understand to help bring the US--and the world--closer to combating climate change. To start, I'm looking for volunteer and board member opportunities in Greater Chicago.

Want to learn if I may be a good fit for your organizational board or volunteer team? Check out my resume, projects, and LinkedIn profile.

What My Colleagues Have to Say

After retiring from Michigan State University, I hosted a weekly, state-wide radio program, which focused on sustainability.  Topics included, for example, climate change, alternative energy and biodiversity preservation.  For two years, Chloe White volunteered to write companion blogs for MLive.com—a prominent, on-line news enterprise.  Her blogs, which summarized and expanded the radio interviews, were consistently outstanding.  She proved adept at culling the most salient information, effectively summarizing it in direct quotations and paraphrases, then adding her own thoughtful perspectives.  During my three decades at MSU, I worked closely with dozens of students, and Chloe’s communications skills are among the very best.

As the Capital Area Transportation Authority’s Clean Commute Options Coordinator, Chloe White hit the ground running. She confidently and capably planned and executed major public education events. Working closely with our marketing agency, she creatively engaged the public through effective social media content and memorable events that raised awareness about the importance of air quality.

Chloe was a goal-oriented, productive and talented program manager. She would make an outstanding addition to any team, and possesses the qualities and characteristics of an emerging leader. It is an honor to serve as a professional reference on Chloe’s behalf. I wish her every success.
